Soprano Cassi Torres McNabb, M.M, Vocal Performance and Advanced Cert, Vocal Pedagogy (NYU), is a South Texas born and raised performer who is equally at home on stage as well as in the classroom. She is a member of the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Music Faculty where she teaches private and group voice classes, as well as large lecture music history courses. Her previous teaching appointment was Adjunct Faculty at New York University's Steinhardt School. She is one of the co-founders of The Total Package (www.ttpworkshop.com) and is a Holy Yoga Regional Leader/Instructor.
She is also an accomplished director and music director. Favorite directing titles include, Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Pirates of Penzance, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and In The Heights. Favorite acting roles include, Casilda (The Gondoliers), Lucy (You're A Good Man Charilie Brown), Buttercup (H.M.S. Pinafore), Naomi (21 Chump Street). Cassi has also been a featured artist at the South Texas Jazz Festival, guest artist with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, and backup singer to Grammy-Nominated Artist Chandrika Tandon.
Cassi earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). Immediately following graduation Cassi was accepted into the Graduate Music Theatre program at New York University (NYU). She received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance - Music Theatre, and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from NYU. While living in NYC Cassi worked as Adjunct Faculty at NYU teaching private voice lessons, and had the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects from commercials, to readings of new Musicals and Operas, to Acting in film and TV.
Cassi continues to perform while keeping a full time teaching and masterclass schedule.
